Bakuchiol outperforms retinol in improving skin health
A new study finds bakuchiol outperform retinol in improving aspects of skin health, including in its ability to stimulate collagen and hyaluronic acid production, ability to improve cell activity, increase the expression of important extracellular matrix components, and enhance epidermal regeneration and re-epithelization. In contrast, retinol had less pronounced effects on these parameters and was associated with skin irritation in nearly quarter of its users.
